The Upper Gate in Mühlheim an der Donau , a town in the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg , dates from when the town was built around 1200. It was first mentioned in documents in 1470. The Upper Gate was originally a double gate system, due to the fortress wall and the city wall . The city gate had a wicket door through which residents could enter and leave when the gate was closed. The gatekeeper lived in the gatehouse above the city gate.

The renovated city gate with its pointed arch and hump stone blocks is a protected cultural monument .
