Surface curvature

In physics , surface curvature is the curvature of the surface of a drop of liquid or a gas bubble in a fluid medium. The term is usually applied to the surface of liquids, where the curvature leads to an increase in the saturation vapor pressure ( curvature effect ) and the surface tension ( Young-Laplace equation ).
