The Oberrhein Messe - also known as the Autumn Fair in the Offenburg region - is an event organized by Messe Offenburg-Ortenau GmbH. With around 85,000 visitors annually, the Oberrhein Messe is one of the largest trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg aimed at end consumers .

It was founded in 1924, making it one of the most traditional events in Germany.

The nine-day fair takes place annually in autumn and always begins on the last weekend in September. The Offenburg exhibition company stages this event every year. It focuses on shopping, fun, recreational value and a special show that changes every year.

Over 500 exhibitors are represented at the Oberrhein Messe every year. They offer their products and services in 27 hall sections and tent halls on 12,000 m² and in the outdoor area on around 10,000 m² of exhibition space. The exhibition portfolio of the Oberrhein Messe encompasses various industries, which are divided into the following subject areas by the organizer:

  • Energy building living
  • Luxury & Lifestyle
  • Services (in the areas of financial advice, banking and insurance)
  • Enjoyment (culinary offers)
  • Adventure program (fashion shows, individual events, etc.)
  • Children's adventure (animal hall, ...)
  • Active travel (sportswear and equipment, bicycles, etc.)
  • Beauty & Wellness

The elaborate special shows are a defining element of the fair. In recent years, for example, these have been the subjects of “Middle Ages”, “Mythos Wild West” ( Bründl Collection ) and “Enjoy Africa with all your senses”. In 2011 the organizer took up the topic of “Treasures of the Chinese Empire”.
