Oberwiesenalm

The Oberwiesenalm is an alpine pasture in the Hohenaschau district of the municipality of Aschau im Chiemgau .

Three Kaser of the Oberwiesenalm are under monument protection and are registered under the number D-1-87-114-127 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

Three Kaser of the Oberwiesenalm are under monument protection. A single-storey flat saddle roof building made of unplastered quarry stone masonry and an extension towed to the south from 1848, a single-storey flat saddle roof building with partially plastered quarry stone masonry and an extension towed to the west from the first half of the 19th century, as well as a single-storey, plastered solid building with a flat gable roof, the core of which is probably from the first half 19th century.

Today there are a total of nine buildings on the Oberwiesenalm. From southwest to northeast these are the DAV hut, the Klepperhütte, the Glashütte, the Fritzhütte, the Neue Klepperhütte, the Siglhütte, the Thaurerhütte, the Weißenhütte and the Holzerhütte.

Todays use

The Oberwiesenalm is still used for agriculture today.

location

The Oberwiesenalm is located northwest of the Klausenberg at an altitude of 1250  m above sea level. NN . The Hochrieshütte is located to the west above the Oberwiesenalm.
