Observatoire du Mont Mégantic
The Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic (OMM) is an observatory in the Mont-Mégantic National Park , Canada. The geographic location is 71 ° 9 '9.81 "west longitude and 45 ° 27' 20.66" north latitude, 1111 m . The observatory is registered under the IAU code 301 .
It has a 1.6 m Ritchey-Chrétien telescope , which can be viewed during the day. It is operated by the Université de Montréal , McGill University and Université Laval through the Center de recherche en astrophysique du Québec . On two nights a year, the telescope is also equipped with an eyepiece so that visitors can observe the sky.
