Obuku

Obuku ( Japanese 御 仏 供 ) or, with adoration suffix , obukusama ( 御 仏 供 様 ) is a Japanese rice dish .

Obuku is actually the sacrificial rice of the Buddhist house altar ( Butsudan ). When this is hard-dried, it is roasted over a charcoal fire and dipped in soy sauce . It is a dish for children and old people.
