Odo (Toulouse)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Odo , also Eudes , Odon or Odonus , (* 9th century; † 918 or 919 ) was Count of Toulouse . He was the son of Count Raimund I († 863) and Bertha or Bernhard II of Toulouse († 874).

He married Garsende, daughter of Count Ermengol von Albi , with whom he presumably had three children. His sons were Raimund II , to whom he already gave the Rouergue during his lifetime, at least before 898 , and Armengol , who inherited this county after his death.

For reasons of the same name, it was suggested that Odo was also the father of Garsenda, the wife of Wifredo II Borrell , Count of Barcelona .
