The Oesterreichische Volks-Zeitung was an Austrian daily newspaper that appeared in Vienna between 1888 and 1918 . At the same time, from the late 1890s there was a small-format side edition, the "2 Kreuzer Edition", which came out from April 1, 1905 as the Kleine Österreichische Volkszeitung . The predecessor of the newspaper was the Konstitutionelle Vorstadt-Zeitung , its successor the Volks-Zeitung .
