Ofatinți ( Russian Выхватинцы Wychwatinzy , Ukrainian Вихватинці Wychwatynzi ) is a municipality in Transnistria (internationally not recognized secession from the Republic of Moldova ). The village is located directly on the Dnestr River , around 15 kilometers from Rybnitsa . The village Novaia Jizni (Russian Новая Жизнь / Nowaja Schisn ) also belongs to the community . Ofatinți is part of the historical Podolia region and is particularly known as the birthplace of the Russian composer and pianist Anton Rubinstein .
