Ogham stones from Dunloe
The eight ogham stones of Dunloe ( Irish Dún Lóich ) have stood in an enclosure near the road between Beaufort and the entrance to the Gap of Dunloe ( Irish Bearna an Choimín ) near Dunloe Castle ( Irish Caisleán Dhún Lóich ) in the county since the middle of the 20th century Kerry in Ireland .
The series consists of seven Ogham stones , which were moved here from the basement of nearby Coolmagort ( Irish Cúil Má Ghort ), discovered in 1838 , the first stone comes from the destroyed church in Kilbonane ( Irish Cill Bheanáin ), which is located southwest on the R569. The inscriptions on the stones are largely well preserved.
