Oginsky Canal System
The Oginsky Canal System is a canal connection in the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania between the Dnieper and Memel .
It leads from the Memel to the Dnieper via Shchara , Oginsky Canal , Yasselda and Prypiat .
The Oginsky Canal itself is 58 km long. Construction began in 1776 by the hetman Michael Kasimir Oginski . The canal system was completed in 1804.
The canal is not identical to the Dnieper Bug Canal .
