Old Government House (Brisbane)
The first official residence of the Governor of Queensland is known as the Old Government House . It is located on the Gardens Point campus of the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane .
history
Sir George Bowen , the first Governor of Queensland, already resided in the building, which was completed in 1862. It served this purpose until the establishment of the Government House , the current seat of the governor, which is located in Bardon , a suburb of Brisbane. After that, the National Trust of Australia used the Old Government House temporarily as its headquarters within Queensland.
Whereabouts of the building
Today the building, in which concerts have already taken place, is part of the state's cultural heritage.
