Olden (Norway)

Olden is a village in Stryn municipality in the Norwegian province of Vestland .

It is located on Faleidfjord, which is at the eastern end of Innvikfjord , which in turn is an offshoot of Nordfjord . To the west of the village rises the mountain Skarsteinfjellet (1566 m), east of the Avleinsfjellet (1500 m). Fylkesvei 60 runs through Olden .

The place is a station of cruise ships, whose passengers from here by bus u. a. approach the foothills of the Jostedalsbreen glacier, z. B. the Briksdalsbreen .

The closest place is Loen, about 4 km to the northeast .
