The megalithic complex of Oldgrange is located about three meters east of a small stream, a small tributary of the Clodiagh River, a tributary of the Suir ( Irish An tSiúir ). The Townland Oldgrange ( Irish An tSeanghráinseach ) is about six kilometers east of the village of Rathgormuck and six kilometers south of Carrick-on-Suir in County Waterford in Ireland .

The northeast-southwest oriented system (possibly a portal tomb ) consists of a conglomerate stone about 2.9 meters long, 2.3 meters wide and 0.35 meters thick . It lies on the ground at the northeast end and on a 0.5 meter high, 0.9 meter wide and 0.65 meter long stone at the southwest end. There is a 0.1 meter deep excavation 0.6 meters in diameter in the surface which is interpreted as damage. A 1.5 by 0.9 meter plate to the north may be part of the structure, but that is unclear. The floor area under the stone is more compact than the surrounding soil and possibly the original chamber floor.

About four kilometers away is the Ballyquin Tomb portal , the capstone of which is close to the ground.
