Oleg Gennadijewitsch Torsunow (born March 2, 1965 in Serow ) is a Russian medical doctor and lecturer in Eastern health therapies, physical culture and healing methods at the State University of Physical Culture of the Urals in Chelyabinsk . His specialty are the Vedas .

Life

Oleg Torsunov was born in the Ural city of Serov ( Russia ) into a working-class family. After school he studied medicine. He also studied at the Samara Medical Institute , from where he was drafted into the army after the second year. He served as a medical instructor. In 1992 he graduated from the University of Medicine and then went to India for several years, where he studied Vedic culture and medicine, Ayurveda .

Torsunov published a number of books such as “Good Advice From Dr. Torsunov “( Russian Избранные лекции доктора Торсунова) on affordable and effective treatments for influenza, acute respiratory diseases , angina pectoris , bronchitis , high blood pressure , hepatitis and other common diseases. The book series “Laws of Happy Life” (Russian Законы счастливой жизни), based on the basic principles of a harmonious life and the ancient Vedic scriptures, became very popular. In the book series “The Vedas about ...” (Russian Веды о ...) the Vedic understanding of the laws of time, relationships and activities is presented in an understandable language.

He lectures in the CIS countries , Europe and the USA and speaks on radio and television. Some of the lectures and books were translated into English and other languages. In 2006 he founded the Internet radio station Veda-Radio . He also founded the Saraswati Education Center with the aim of spreading Vedic knowledge.

Torsunov is the founder of the internationally recognized association Sattva . There his listeners and readers can share experiences with the application of the acquired knowledge. The international education festival Blagost (German: virtue ), which he founded, has been held since 2009 and takes place annually in spring and autumn in Anapa .

In 2004, Torsunov founded the Amrita health center , which was initially located in Moscow and has been operating near Krasnodar since 2010 . In 2015, as part of the international conference Modern Aspects of Rehabilitation in Medicine , Torsunov published the article Correction of vegetative disorders under conditions of meteoclimatic disadaptation by traditional and alternative methods of regenerative therapy, which describes the use of minerals according to the Torsunow method. At the Russian practice-oriented science conference with international participants Rehabilitation and Prevention - 2015 , a report on the effectiveness of the correction of vegetative disorders in conditions of meteoclimatic maladjustment using methods of reflexotherapy and crystallotherapy was presented on the results of the application of Torsunov's methods.

honors and awards

In 2011, the International Academy for Combating Alcoholism awarded Torsunov the scientific title of Professor for his contributions to the fight against alcoholism. In 2014, he received a letter of thanks from the Committee of Public Associations and Religious Organizations of the State Parliament (Russian Duma ) for his self-sacrificing work for the mental, moral and physical recovery of the country. In 2015, he was awarded the Russian Academy of Sciences Gold Medal for his contribution to strengthening the nation's health.
