Oleh Mykolajowytsch Didenko ( Ukrainian Олег Миколайович Діденко ; born May 8, 1980 in Snjatyn , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian lawyer. As chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine , he joined in October 2019 head of agency a top national authority of Ukraine.

Life

Oleh Didenko was born in the city of Snyatyn in the Ukrainian Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast . After graduating from the Law Faculty of the Jurij Fedkowytsch University in Chernivtsi in 2002 , he worked as an assistant to various MPs from 2003 to 2014. In 2007 he worked as legal advisor and first deputy head of the legal department in the Central Executive Committee of the political party Our Ukraine . From 2007 to 2010 he was Managing Director of Legal Group Collegium LLC and from 2008 to 2014 as a lawyer in a private law firm. In April 2014 he became a member of the Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine and on October 4, 2019, he became its chairman , succeeding Tetiana Slipachuk .
