Olga Jurjewna Golodez ( Russian Ольга Юрьевна Голодец ; born June 1, 1962 in Moscow ) is a Russian economist and politician . Since May 21, 2012 she has been Vice Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation . Before that, she was Moscow's deputy mayor, responsible for health (2010–2011) and social issues (2011–2012).

Life

Golodez graduated from Lomonosov University's Faculty of Economics in 1984 . From 1984 to 1997 she worked as a scientist at the Central Labor Research Institute and the Institute for Employment Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences . In 1990 she received her doctorate in economics. After working from 1997 to 1999 as director for social programs of the Reformugol Fund , an organization that operated on the basis of a contract between the Russian government and the World Bank, she worked at the company from 1999 to 2001 and from 2002 to 2008 as head of human resources and deputy general director Russian company MMC Norilsk Nickel. In 2001, she was the Deputy Governor of Taimyr Autonomous Okrug in charge of social issues. From 2008 to 2010, the President of the Russian Federation of Employers and Producers of Nickel and Precious Metals was also the director of the Soglasije insurance company .

On December 2, 2010, Moscow Mayor Sobyanin appointed her as his deputy, responsible for health and education. On December 30, 2011, Sobyanin arranged for her to be appointed as his deputy in the social area of ​​responsibility.

On May 21, 2012, Golodets was appointed Deputy Prime Minister Medvedev by decree of the President of the Russian Federation .

She is the author of more than 30 scientific papers. The active participant in international and Russian projects in the field of human resource management and development of social and industrial relations is considered one of the best top managers in Russia.

Golodez is married and has two children.
