Oliba I of Carcassonne

Oliba I of Carcassonne (* around 790 ; † 837 ) was a Count of Carcassonne from 821 to 837 from the Belloniden family .

His father was Count Bello of Carcassonne .

His siblings were

He was married twice, first to a lady Ermentruda, and later to Riquilda. He had three sons, although it is not known from which woman.

Life

After the death of his older brother Guisclafred, he succeeded him as Count of Carcassonne, one of the most powerful cities in southern France at the time .
