Oliver Schütte

Oliver Schütte is a German screenwriter , dramaturge and publicist .

Life

Schütte has been working as an author for film and television since 1986 and as a dramaturge since 1990. In 1988 he received the German Screenplay Award for his first screenplay Koan . In 1995 he founded the Master School Screenwriting , an initiative for advanced training in screenwriting, which he headed until 2008. He was co-founder of the script and development agency Script House and initiator and artistic director of Scriptforum , the German script and story development conference that took place in Berlin from 1999 to 2005. He holds seminars in Germany and abroad and has been teaching at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy since 1998 .

Schütte is the author of the non-fiction books The Art of Screenplay Reading and Look me in the eye, little one . Since 2008 he has been editor of the podcast from the Association of German Scriptwriters, keyword script . In 2015 his first novel Die Rote Burg was published .

In 2013 he founded tellfilm Deutschland Filmproduktion together with Katrin Renz and Stefan Jäger.

Oliver Schütte is a founding member of the German Film Academy .
