Olivier Chambard is a French diplomat.

Career

Chambard was first in London twice as chief of staff, political advisor and director of the Institut Français. A graduate of the Institute of Oriental Languages ​​in Hindi , he was Deputy Director for South Asia and the Indian Subcontinent, before becoming Permanent Secretary of the Association of French-Speaking Mayors and then Deputy Director of the Department of Africa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009-2012).

After that he was in London for the third time by 2015, this time as the French consul general. From 2015 he was a financial advisor for West Africa in the French Ministry of Finance and, from 2018, he was also Secretary General of the Conference of Ambassadors in the European Ministry.

At the end of 2019, Chambard was appointed French ambassador for Indonesia and East Timor . From 1997 to 2000 he was the second advisor to the French embassy in Jakarta . Chambard presented his accreditation to East Timor's President Francisco Guterres on January 20, 2020.
