Olivier Gremaud

Olivier Gremaud (born March 8, 1979 ) is a former Swiss rower and Olympian.

Life

Gremaud grew up in Zollikon . He studied economics at the University of Zurich. After numerous successes in athletics (five times Cantonal Champion ZH), he switched to rowing in the Seeclub Zurich . Between 1993 and 2005 he won Swiss championship titles in all boat categories (5-time junior champion, 9-time Swiss champion). Olivier Gremaud also received the “Golden Honorary Oar” from the Swiss Rowing Association for 1995, which is given to the most successful rower of the year. In 2007 he retired from active racing and devoted himself more to his professional career.
