Omar Gomez Rey

Omar Gomez Rey (* 1957 in Bucaramanga ) is a Colombian painter .
He studied at the Art Academy in Cartagena de Indias . With a few colleagues he founded an independent art studio, in which he continued to develop his artistic work independently of the rigid rules of the teaching institute. This was followed by his first exhibitions in Colombia.
In 1982 he moved to Germany and has lived as a freelance artist in Nuremberg ever since .
Omar Gomez Rey has been a member of the Confederation Internationale des Associations d'artistes Brussels since 1994 . Omar Gomez Rey is a co-founder of the artist group "punkt seven" in Nuremberg . He took part in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and runs his own studio in Nuremberg.
