Omar Jah
Omar Jah (* in Fass Omar Saho , Gambia ) is a Gambian scholar of Islam . He is Secretary of the Muslim Scholars Council, Gambia , and Professor of Islamic Culture and Islamic Thought at the University of Gambia . From 2002 to 2016 he was Deputy Vice Chancellor of this university.
He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( english A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" ( English "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ..." ) sent (October 13, 2007).
