Onda Latina
Onda Latina was a Latin America - Festival which plays from April to May 2006 in Austria took place and more than 150 events included.
It was connected to Austria's EU Presidency in the first half of 2006 and was a thematic supplement to the EU-Latin America Summit 2006 and the Alternatives Summit . The program comprised two to ten events in the fields of music, culture and politics every day. Main organizers were institutions of development cooperation , in particular the Austrian Latin America Institute (LAI), the VIDC - Vienna Institute for Development and Cooperation and the South Wind agency .
The events were financed primarily by the state “Austrian Development Cooperation” (ADC). Further sponsors were the arts section of the Federal Chancellery , the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture , the Department of Culture of the City of Vienna and the Vienna Employment Service .
