Onur Bakis

Onur Bakis (* 1982 in Adana , Turkey ) is a seven-time Austrian breakdance master , dance teacher and project manager. He is also the founder of the Doyobe Association in Austria and Germany.

Life

Onur Bakis moved to Austria with his family in 1991 and obtained Austrian citizenship. At the age of 17, inspired by music video clips, he began to learn breakdancing. His first stage appearance was in the Salzburg Rockhouse. Onur Bakis is a seven-time Austrian breakdance champion. In order to bring breakdance closer to children and young people, he founded the Doyobe association in 2007, which conducts dance, graffiti and rap workshops. Under the motto “Do your best”, the association focuses on urban art and culture - with its elements of breakdance, graffiti, DJing and rap.
