Structure of the openID center

The openID-center is a development and test facility affiliated to the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics in Dortmund , which primarily serves to facilitate the use of different RFID components, such as B. transponders and readers to test in a real logistical environment. It has nothing to do with the OpenID authentication system .

Emergence

The openID-center emerged in 2004 from a project of the same name with the aim of ensuring seamless, real-time tracking and control of material flows. Today the openID-center gives a community of logistics and IT companies the opportunity to work in cooperation with science and research on current challenges and standards in the field of logistics software and auto-identification systems.
