Operation Stella Polaris

Stella Polaris (Latin: Polarstern ) was the code name of an operation to outsource technology and specialists in telecommunications intelligence and cryptanalysis from Finland . At the end of September 1944, four ships arrived in Sweden , on board were about 750 specialists with their families, as well as a large number of devices and documentation.

The operation was organized by the Japanese military attaché in Helsinki and Stockholm .
