The Opstandingskerk ( German Resurrection Church ), also called De Kolenkit (German Die Kohlenschütte ), is a church on Bos en Lommerplein 327 in Amsterdam 's West district . The name Kolenkit , after which the surrounding district Kolenkitbuurt is also popularly known , comes from the striking shape of the 48-meter-high bell tower of the church built between 1955 and 1956. In 2007 the structure was included in the top 100 Dutch monuments 1940–1958 , and since 2010 it has been Rijksmonument (number 530877).

The Opstandingskerk, built on behalf of the Dutch Reformed community , was designed by the Dutch architect Marius Duintjer . The church building is made of reinforced concrete and the facade is designed with offset, raised red clinker bricks and windows that reach down to the floor. The interior is white and offers space for 450 people. The community center is located on the ground floor, above is the church room.
