Oqil Ghaibullojewitsch Oqilow ( Tajik Оқил Ғайбуллоевич Оқилов , Persian آقل غیباللهیوچ آقلاو, Russian Акил Акилов / Akil Akilow; * February 2, 1944 in Khujand ) is a Tajik politician and was Prime Minister of Tajikistan from 1999 to 2013 .

Oqilow is a member of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan , led by President Emomalij Rahmon . He studied at the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering (now Moscow State University of Civil Engineering ) until 1967 . After the collapse of the Soviet Union he had in the newly independent Republic of Tajikistan held various political offices, he was from 1993 to 1994 Minister of Construction, 1994-1996 Deputy Prime Minister, 1996-1999 First Deputy Governor of the Province Leninobod (now Sughd Province ).

Since December 20, 1999, Oqilow was Prime Minister of Tajikistan. On November 23, 2013, he was dismissed from office by President Rahmon.
