The Oratorio dell'Angelo Custode is a church of the late Baroque in Palermo .

The building in Via dei Carrettieri was built by order of the Brotherhood of Guardian Angels (Confraternita dell'Angelo Custode) between 1699 and 1701.

A high wall in front with a balustrade and the figure of an angel in a niche surrounds a small inner courtyard. A wide double-winged staircase leads to the entrance portal on the upper floor. The facade is kept simple, the only architectural decoration is a tympanum with the baroque ornate coat of arms of the brotherhood, which is crowned by a triangular gable and an oculus in the center of the facade. Between the two arms of the stairs, a short barrel vaulted corridor leads to the crypt on the ground floor.

The interior of the single-nave oratory with five altars is decorated with stucco from the 18th century by unknown artists. Worth mentioning are the paintings “Madonna degli staffieri” by Gioacchino Martorana and “Angelo custode” by Michelangelo Cimino. The other paintings and sculptures are by unknown Sicilian artists of the 18th and 19th centuries.
