Orcas Iceland is the largest island in the San Juan Islands in San Juan County in Washington .

There are several villages on orcas. Over the years, a kind of social elite has settled there, driving up property and land prices.

Orcas is slightly larger but less populated than San Juan Island . The island shape is comparable to saddlebags. In the middle it is almost separated by a fjord-like sound.

The Madrona Point Park offers several hiking trails near the rocky coast.

The 800 m high Mount Constitution is the island's greatest attraction; it is passable and offers a panoramic view.

Others

The crime novel The Secret of Orcas Island by Nora Roberts and her novel "In the shadow of the woods" are set on Orcas Island .
