Order "People's Republic of Bulgaria"

I. level of the order "People's Republic of Bulgaria" (1st model)

The order "People's Republic of Bulgaria" ( Bulgarian Орден "Народна Република България" / order "Narodna Republika Balgarija") was founded on June 18, 1947 by a decree commemorating the proclamation of the People's Republic and was able to offer both domestic and foreigners the defense of freedom as well as the creation of the country's independence. In wartime it was also intended for officers and commanders of the People's Army who had excelled in leading the troops and planning military operations.

The award consists of three stages

  • I. stage
  • II stage
  • III. step

Appearance

The award is an oval bundle of 30 rays with a size of 44 × 42 mm. Overlying the coat of arms of the country . The first stage is gold-plated and the second stage is silver-plated . The III. The only difference between the stage is its size (40 × 38 mm).

Carrying method

The award is carried on a white ribbon with red and green stripes.

Awards

The first bearer of the highest level was Georgi Dimitrov . By the time it was discontinued in 1991, the award had been presented 19,117 times.
