Body of public supervision
In Austria, an organ of public supervision is a person who, as a state-appointed organ, is entrusted with the supervision of compliance with public law regulations (laws, ordinances, etc.). This includes
- Public security organs ( police officers )
- Toll enforcement bodies
- Organs of municipal regulatory agencies and security guards
- Road inspectors
- Financial management bodies ( financial police , operational customs supervision )
- Forest protection bodies
- Water protection bodies
- Railway supervisory bodies
- Supervisory bodies in accordance with state law (e.g. mountain and nature watch bodies )
- Supervisory bodies to monitor the parking fee regulations
