Organic work ( Polish praca organiczna ) is a term coined by Polish positivists in the 19th century . The ideology it describes calls for the use of the forces of the nation for meaningful work instead of fruitless uprisings. The basic principles of organic work saw i.a. a. the formation of the masses and the increase of the economic potential of the Poles. This was intended to create a modern nation from the lower Polish classes and prevent the success of the Germanization and Russification policies of the partitioning powers .
