Oberrettenbach is a cadastral municipality and former municipality with 477 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in Eastern Styria. Since 2015 it has been united with the municipality of Gersdorf an der Feistritz as part of the structural reform of the municipality in Styria , the new municipality continues to bear the name "Gersdorf an der Feistritz".

The community consisted of the only cadastral community Oberrettenbach.

politics

Politically, Oberrettenbach was always dominated by the ÖVP. In the last elections (municipal council elections, state elections, national council elections), however, there was a trend reversal. The SPÖ was able to achieve significant gains in the last elections. The third mandate was narrowly missed in the municipal council election, while the ÖVP had to back off in the last elections.

Since August 1, 2008, the municipality was entitled to use a coat of arms with the following description:

"In a silver shield under a red, black-edged wavy bar, a green lake leaf knocked out three times from apples - the middle apple is leafed."
