Orientation is the TV religion magazine of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). The show was broadcast for the first time in January 1969, making it the broadcasting group's oldest TV magazine still running .

History and content

The format belonging to the main religion department has been headed by Norbert Steidl as the person responsible for the broadcast since 2003 . Doris Appel moderated the magazine between 1995 and 2010, and Christoph Riedl-Daser took over the moderation in September 2010 . Sandra Szabo succeeded him in 2017.

The magazine reports on current events on the subject of religion on ORF 2 on Sundays between 12:30 and 13:00 .

On April 24, 2016, the show received a complete graphic relaunch. Both the "signature" (the Austrian name for the characteristic melody), as well as the lettering and the studio have been completely redesigned.
