Orion Doetinchem is a Dutch volleyball club. The first men's team plays in the Dutch premier league.

history

The main association was founded in 1969. Initially, the volleyball players were successful in youth competitions with the male and female teams. In the 1983/84 season the women became Dutch champions. In 1977 the women played for the first time in the European Cup and two years later the men followed. In 2012 he won the national championship for the first time. These also became Dutch champions in the 2018/19 season.

organization

The main club is divided into a "Stichting", which takes care of the operation of the male professional team, and a "Vereniging", where the youth and leisure teams are organized. The teams play in different divisions from the first division to the leisure division.

More teams

There are seven teams for men and nine for women. There are also five male and eight female junior teams.
