Oroch
The Orochi ( Russian language : Орочи ; [ O rotschi]) are a small Tungus indigenous people of the Russian Far East . They must not be confused with the oroks on Sakhalin and the northern Tungus oroqs in China. According to the last census in 2002 there were still 686 Oroches (1990: 900), but only about 150 people speak Oroch , a southern Tungusian language.
The traditional settlement area is in the Khabarovsk region .
