Diesel Museum
The Diesel Museum is located in the HAU business park on Oberndorferstrasse in Schramberg . It is a building that was built in 1904 by the well-known industrial architect Philipp Jakob Manz in Art Nouveau style as the energy center of the Hamburg-American Clock Factory (HAU) and expanded in 1910/11 to include a MAN diesel engine with a three-phase generator from Felten -Guillaume-Lahmeyer . It is likely to be the largest diesel engine from the time before the First World War, which is still completely in its original condition with all accessories in the place where it was originally installed.
The building and engine are classified as "Monument of Special Importance". Recently, the Diesel Museum has also housed a camera museum, which was set up in a photo studio that is part of the original building.
