World polo championship 1998
The 5th World Polo Championship took place from August 21 to 30, 1998 in the US city of Santa Barbara . Organizing clubs were the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club and the San Diego Polo Club .
Six teams took part in the tournament. Argentina won the final 13: 8 against Brazil and became world champions for the third time after 1987 and 1992.
