Ortwin Pelc

Ortwin Pelc (* 1953 in Hamburg ) is a German historian .

Life

After completing his doctorate at the University of Hamburg in 1991, he was head of department for the 19th to 21st centuries, Jewish history and the graphic collection at the Museum of Hamburg History from 1995 to 2018 .

His main research interests are urban development in Hamburg, northern German social and economic history, and church and urban history in the Middle Ages and modern times.
