Usama an-Nujaifi ( Arabic أسامة عبد العزيز النجيفي, DMG Usāma ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz an-Nuǧaifī ; * 1956 in Mosul ) or Osama el-Nudschaifi is an Iraqi politician. Since October 10, 2016, he has been one of the three Vice Presidents of Iraq, together with Nuri al-Maliki and Ijad Allawi .
He studied electrical engineering at the University of Mosul . In the Iraqi government in 2005 , An-Nujaifi was minister of minerals and industry. From November 11, 2010 to July 15, 2014, An-Nujaifi was President of the Council of Representatives of Iraq . Since September 9, 2014, he has been a Vice President of Iraq.
An-Nujaifi is a Sunni and, together with his brother Athil, a member of the Univer- sity for Reform party .
