Osiedle Walentego Roździeńskiego (translated Walenty Roździeński settlement) is a housing estate in Katowice on the Aleja Walentego Roździeńskiego and was built in the years 1970-1978. The street and the settlement were named after Walenty Roździeński .

What is particularly striking about the settlement is the design of the houses, especially those of the high-rise buildings Gwiazda 1–7 . Gwiazda is the Polish word for star. The name refers to the layout of the building, which is an eight-pointed star. In the settlement there are two smaller buildings with a star-shaped floor plan, which among other things house a school and several shops.

Buildings 1-7

The seven high-rise buildings all have a star-shaped floor plan, are 81 m high, have a usable area of 18,720 m² and an enclosed space of 55,456 m³. Around 600 people live in each of the seven buildings. Of the 27 storeys, 24 represent utility storeys. The individual buildings differ, among other things, in their use. A kindergarten is located in buildings 2 and 5.
