Stefan Hickl (born April 11, 1988 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Stefan Hickl was born in Frankfurt in 1988. Here he also learned to play football, initially with TSG 51, between 2001 and 2003 he played for the Eckenheim district club SV Viktoria Prussia . He then moved to city rivals FSV Frankfurt . Since 2006, Hickl has been playing for the second team of Bornheimer, but was also regularly in the first team's squad. On matchday 12 of the 2008/09 season , the defender made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in a 0-0 draw against 1. FC Nürnberg . Before that, he had already played a few games for the first team of Bornheimer in the Oberliga and Regionalliga in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons. However, he was unable to earn a regular place in the FSV's second division squad under Tomas Oral or his successor Hans-Jürgen Boysen , and between 2008 and 2011 he made 33 second division appearances. In the summer of 2011 he finally left the club and moved to the third division Kickers Offenbach . After half a year he returned to FSV Frankfurt on January 31, 2012, where he played for the second team in the Regionalliga. After his contract was not extended in the summer of 2012, Hickl was initially without a club. In December 2012 he was signed by the relegation-threatened third division club SV Darmstadt 98 , where he had previously completed a long trial training session. He signed a contract until the end of June 2013.

For the 2013/14 season, Hickel moved to the regional division FC Viktoria Köln . During the winter break of the 2014/15 season he signed with TuS Koblenz in the Regionalliga Südwest. After the descent of TuS Koblenz, Hickl did not receive a new contract and switched to TuS Merzhausen in the group league .
