Oslo Convention

The Oslo Convention (OSCOM) is a convention adopted on February 15, 1972 for the prevention of pollution by ships and aircraft. It was signed by 13 countries bordering the Atlantic ( Belgium , Federal Republic of Germany , Denmark , Finland , France , Great Britain , Ireland, Iceland , Norway , the Netherlands , Portugal , Sweden , Spain ).

OSCOM and PARCOM were replaced by the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Northeast Atlantic ( OSPAR ), which was adopted on September 22, 1992 .
