Ossætra is a group of mountain huts in the Norwegian municipality of Stad in Vestland Province .

The seven wooden huts are located on the northwestern bank of the mountain lake Osvatnet at an altitude of about 422 meters southwest above Nordfjordeid . The Kvernhuselva stream flows just north of Ossætra . A steep mountain path leads up to the huts from the bank of the Eidsfjord . Another hiking trail leads past Ossætra on the north side. The huts originally served as accommodation for the summer pasture season .
