The Eidsfjord ( Norwegian Eidsfjorden ) is a fjord in the Norwegian municipality of Stad in the province of Vestland .
The fjord goes off the Nordfjord as a north-eastern arm and runs for about 13 kilometers in an easterly direction. Its width is about two kilometers. It reaches a depth of about up to 500 meters. At the eastern end is Nordfjordeid , the capital of the municipality of Stad. Riksvei 15 runs along the northern bank and the towns of Stårheim , Løken and Haugen are located . Sørland is on the south bank . To the north and south of the Eidsfjord there are mountain ranges that reach heights of up to 900 meters.
The river Eidselva and various other watercourses such as the Stårheimselva , Hjelma , Fargarelva , Presteelva , Gjølelva , Kvernhuselva , Takloelva , Strandelva , Storelva , Sæterelva and Fosselva flow into the Eidsfjord from the east .
