The Eidselva is a river in the municipality of Stad in the Norwegian province of Vestland .

It rises as an outflow of the Hornindalsvatnet lake at its western end at a height of about 52 meters. From there it meanders in a westerly direction until it flows into the Eidsfjord after 10.8 kilometers of the river, as the crow flies, about 7 kilometers south of the center of Nordfjordeid . In addition to many farms in its eastern section, the river passes the northern part of Mogrenda . Both in this area and at Nordfjordeid, the river is bridged by the European route 39 . Another bridge exists near the confluence with the Eidsfjord.

In the course of the river there are various islands and sandbanks, including the Storøya island near the mouth . There are also the Kviafoss and Fåhølsfoss waterfalls . A hydroelectric power station was installed at Kviafossen in 1918. Several streams flow into the Eidselva, including the Leivdøla and the Litleelva .
