Storøya ( Norwegian for large island ) is an island in the Eidselva River in the municipality of Stad in the Norwegian province of Vestland .
The uninhabited island is located about 400 meters east of the mouth of the Eidselva in the Eidsfjord south of Nordfjordeid . It extends in a west-east direction over about 120 meters, with a width of up to 30 meters. It is about 50 meters from the north bank of the river and 20 meters from the south. The flat island only reaches a height of about one meter. Its banks are made up of trees and bushes, the interior of the island is used agriculturally as a meadow.
