Ossa ( Greek Όσσα , also Κίσσαβος Kíssavos ) is the name of a mountain in East Thessalia .
The mountain is located southeast of the Tempe valley and is 1978 m high. The base is wooded, the summit is a bare rock pyramid.
Just below the summit is a cave that was dedicated to the nymphs .
